Media smoke has not changed in almost 100 years. But you see through the smoke and see action, which is more tangible. No No Nanette, probably cost them 3 or more championships. Front office mismanagement and bad luck the last couple of opportunities. Plus George and his open wallet in the same division has not helped. But I am on them this season, have been since the start. I have never bet a future on the BoSox, ever, in my entire career. I have everything from 6-1 to 9.7-1. I do not bet for loyalty, emotion or anything but a chance to profit. All of the pieces are there. The price was and is right because of the Yankees. I still like my other heavy position, the Cards at 9-1. I think they are the best. Not just because of the record, but the balance. Do 9-1's ever cash? Argentina just did easily. Italy was 60-1. What were the Marlins? I am not about to start spanking my monkey listening to the new BoSox fight song, but I think they can win the AL Pennant. At this juncture I would say better chance then the favored Yankees.
