A few questions for all you experienced vets out there:

- I am going with a group and I am telling them that the North Texas/Texas game will be on in the books. They are telling me it won't be b/c it is regional pay-per-view. Anyone care to comment on who is right?

- Are the cheap seats at the Mandalay Bay for the fight on Sat. night okay, or should I try to talk them into buying the $100 tickets?

- Can anyone recommend some good "clubs" (not the studio 54 kind, but the ones with the ladies)

- Finally, what amount do you usually have to wager to get anything decent from the books other than some drink tickets? Are there ever any scalping opportunities between the vegas books and an offshore out? Also, are there any books that aren't usually that tough on the drink tickets and will let you sit in there all day and booze even if you run out of tickets? Anybody know if any of the books have upgraded their TV's to High Def yet?

Lot of questions but just looking for a little advice before we head out tomorrow afternoon. Hope everyone has a profitable weeekend and thanks for the help.

Drink tickets usually are given with any size bet, especially parlay cards. The books love you for using those.

As for fight tickets, look carefully at the seating charts to get an idea of how much upgrade you get for the money. Caesars used to screw you on fight seats. The top few rows were the cheap seats, the next few rows were twice as much, and the 10 rows below that were three times as much. More than half the seats were in the top 3 price categories, a situation boxing promoters can easily get away with. At Mandalay at least you get some better view for your money, but the cheap seats there aren't that much worse than seats that can cost many times as much.

Dante is right ... Cheetah's is THE place for what you have in mind. [Remember, it was the place in "Showgirls" where the Elizabeth Berkely character first began her "dancing" before moving on to the StarDust]

At Manadalay Bay's sportsbook, I've never noticed any one in the crowd neoing asked to leave because they weren't wagering or drinking enough. I'd say the place is much too busy for them to monitor that and the atmosphere is too relaxed for that kind of hassling. They are very generous with their drink coupons (but you often have to ask for them) and don't forget to tip the servers at least a buck for their efforts (those poor girls in high heels are on those long, gorgeous legs all day and night).

At Cheetah's on the other hand, you will be constantly asked to purcahse drinks, as well as lap ... er ... "private" ... dances.

Cheetah's or Spearmint Rhino for the tits.

Don't bother paying extra for the fight, it will be so empty you can move up and you won't see much anyway.

Go to the book you are staying at or try and find a local bar that carries college fb package.

There will be a line on Texas-N. Texas.

TI-Bellagio-Mirage will all serve you in the book if you are sitting.
