Football is within a week of starting for real, and everyone seems to be on edge and at each others throats....

Why so much animosity on the board the last few days?

Football is here, hoops will be here before we know it...Why is everyone so pissed off lately?

Lots of wagering action lately and more to come soon. Emotions are running wild. One should really never have a wager that would cause much stress after a loss. Try and keep the emotions in check. I wonder how many lives are shortened by the stress of wagering losses. Protect yourself and use safe Money Management. Also, some people just like being azzes win or lose.

Have a nice day

I think the educated half of America is concerned that the illiterate rednecks will pick-up truck-pool themselves to the pools and further ruin America by re-elec .. err electing previously appointed President Bush.

Why does do many "republicans" assert that anti-Bush equates to liberalism?

And I thought your good Lord said not to judge? .. tsk, tsk. He might find that as hypocrytical as a "holy war", "war-evading war-time president" or "consertive record deficit setter." But, hey, who am I to judge - I'll stick to the facts.

Blue,
There's a fair chance that we can be friends again in 2008. Until then we might have to challenge each other to a few duels - hopefully Bush,Cheney & Kerry are passing between us while this happens

"judge not so that you will not be judged"...the most misunderstood and often quoted scripture verse of all time. in context, the command is that we are not to be unduly critical and/or prejudice. the book calls us to make a sound, correct judgements many, many other times.

example of "judging" that is condemed in this verse:

judging someone unworthy because of race or social status.

example of something not condemed in this verse:

making a judgement that a man is wrong is he has sex with a 13 year old girl...even if it is consensual.

see the difference? if we cannot make judgements about the morality of someone's actions, then anything goes...even the liberals don't want that.

But God is cool with falsely judging a person's entire political and moral belief system? Even if it makes no sense, is completely false and is used as slander. As if one's political beliefs ought to be ground for "just" discrimination.

We're not talking about absolute truths that need not be judged, rather we're talking about jumping to false conclusions and using 'God' to justify it (the last part doesn't apply to you, Blue - but there is a large evanglistic crowd that most certainly fits the shoe here).

Blue,
I'm generalizing some of your wack-o political-mates. I think the majority of them are certifiabily crazy.

You're a good guy though, even if you hang out with fruitcakes.
