the team does not end up playing all 162 regular season games. This may end up being an issue for Cubs and Marlins team totals bettors because it's looking like this weekend's series may get all washed out and I can't see how they would make them all up before after the scheduled end of the season. And then if the games do not have playoff impact, which they might, but if they don't then I would think they would not play them at all.

I know different books might have different minimums...I play my season win totals at a book that has "must play 160"

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

Tough call. Did you ask the book?

Personally, I'd prorate it, but if half of these degenerates can't even read then how on Earth could they possibly understand simple algebra?

right now as tight as the wild card race is, those games look like they might matter.

Marlins spokesman Steve Copses has said there is no chance the games will be made up in Chicago next week. Both teams have an open date September 20th and may play a double header then. The 3rd game if necessary, can be played on October 4th the Monday after the regular season ends.

I don't think the Cubs could play a DH Sept. 20th. They already play the 19th in Cincinatti and the 21st in Pittsburgh. To call a DH in between there rigorous would be an understatement.

Cool, that could dfeinitely work to your advantage, blue. How would you like it if the Cubs went 93-67.

No, actually I don't. I just thought of it because of the one I kew you had, and I was curious. 1 was sorta thinking they had to play 162. 160 seems rather arbitrary. I mean, if I had O92.5 wins and my team had 92 wins but only played 160 games....I'd be rather ticked to say the least. Good rule for unders.

Oh, but I do have futures bets. Quite a lot on Cubs to win the Worls Series. Avg about 11.5-1.

Every book I play at is 160 games.

I think playing a DH on Sept 20 is a big disadvantage to both teams. They will both go into their following series with spent bullpens when they would be going in with fresh bullpens do to the day off.

Wait until the end of the season and play what is necessary even if it means starting the playoffs a couple days late. That way maybe we wont have to see game #1 on Tuesday and game #2 on Sunday again.

At Carib its action no matter how many games are played. They also grade the bets as soon as any team is mathematically incapable of reaching the total or as soon as they go over the total. Example: Cardinal bets were graded and paid a few days ago.

THESE GUYS ARE ALL CORRECT THAT THE STANDARD IS 160 GAMES PLAYED. OTHER THAN THAT ALL BETS WILL BE REFUNDED.

So at Carib if something terrible like a terrorist attack happened and cut the season short all unders would win and all overs would lose ?

What about a strike shortened season ? All unders win and all over lose. Sounds like trouble because everyone who played over would not be happy at all.

THINK OF IT LIKE A BASBEBALL GAME THAT IS 9-0 IN THE THIRD INNING AND YOUVE GOT OVER 8½ RUNS. IF THE GAME IS SHORTENED BY RAIN YOU WILL LOSE THE BET. SUCKS BIG TIME BUT THATS THE WAY IT GOES.

The rules are written on the betting window. So yes if the players went on strike tomorrow and it ended the season, Under bettors would rejoice, except Cardinal Under bettors.
