Name any and all players that hit 50 extra base hits & stole 25 bases in each of their first 2 seasons....

I know Barry Bonds & Ellis Burks fit this category. Actually I just thought of another possible one...alfonso soriano? am i right? who else can be added to this list?

I don't have the answer, but the feat doesn't seem that difficult. Be fast, and have some power. Say 25 SB's , 25 doubles, 5 triples, 20 HR, good for a rookie, then do it again ( easier ? ) I'd bet over 10 have done it, can't name them, though.

the key to this question would be ; "first two seasons"...most players start out their careerplaying 80 games or less...

First full season, this isn't that uncommon.

Nice list railbird but the question is not fitting your list of answers...

Lyman Bostock played four years before being shot to death , never stole more than 16 bases in his four seasons...

Dug this up;

Bostock worked the rest of the season to get his batting average up over .300. On Sept. 23, 1978, with his batting average sitting at .296 after a game with the Chicago White Sox, Bostock visited his uncle in Gary, Indiana. Sitting in the back seat of his uncle's car at a stoplight, a man walked up to the car and fired a shotgun blast that killed Bostock.

By some accounts, the gunman was aiming for the woman sitting next to Bostock in the car, and by other accounts, it was a case of mistaken identity. A man named Leonard Smith served 21 months in prison for Bostock's death.

The guy only did 21 months?

The first player that popped into my mind was Jackie Robinson.

He just missed:

1947: 48 extra base hits, 29 steals
1948: 58/22

How about an asterisk for the shorter seasons back then?

My favorite place to look this stuff up is the baseball almanac

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=robinja02

They have a search box on the left side of the screen to look up a player you might think qualifies.

Be careful - this site has lots of great stuff, if you're a stat junkie like I am you'll be stuck there checking things out for the next 10 days.
