Is it the Player's Responsibility to "know bad lines"?

I have never had a bet taken down either way due to a bad line. I guess that's because 90% of my plays have been at WSEX and I don't have other outs to compare.
I have my own homemade line from WinPicks or my own formula for baseball so I don't spend time going to various websites to see if it's different from book to book. AND besides this back when I played at Carib, on lots of occassions when placing a bet I would get the message that the bet was not accepted due to the line. Sometimes the change would be in my favor and othertimes in their favor. I never kept track because it was usually only a half point or so either way .
I've alos had it happen to me at WSEX but usually it's to my benefit.
My point is--Do you think it's the player's responsibility to tell or ask a book if their line is "correct"?
I think if I was not credited with a win due to a "bad line", I might overlook it ONE time. But if it happened to me twice---I'd be looking for a new book!

If a book has the Patriots +10 and the whole world should know they're -10, then how can you blame a book?

But what it's a +800 instead of a +700?

How are we supposed to know that it is obviously 7-1 not 8-1 .. PLEASE.

no its not the players responsibilty to inform the book of any mistakes they make..........if they do then thats nice...


its happened to me several times over the years....(upside down lines)......i have honored them....luckily the mistake was caught quick.......


note: one year i dealt a favorite as the dog in baskets.....the clerk said "this guy keeps calling back and betting more" on syracuse...i say WHO?????? (this guys would rob his own mother)....instantly my stomach knots up......i already knew what was going on before i checked....yep upside down line........but the gambling gods frowned on him and not me that day... the dog covered the bad line......lol

IMO to an extent it is on glaring obvious mistakes

...A few years back I saw a line at Oly Duke was at FSU in Ncaa foots the line at oly read FSU +34 or whatever...I did not bet it like some ignoramus would and then belly ache why his bet was canceled

I emailed them instantly told them and recieved a thank you..

Its just common sense to me to do that if I see a glaring mistake

omt- you are giving up a lot by not having accounts at multiple books to get the best line as often as possible. Actually you are getting the worst of it much more so than most people realize.

When you have multiple books, spotting a bad line should then be easy.
