Locked in a tight wild card race, he rests Alou and Ramirez, two of his best hitters, against Pavano, one of the best in the league.
Then he will undoubtedly play them against a single-A rookie in the second game. Wouldn't it make sense to do the reverse?
It might not matter the way the Cubs are self-destructing anyways.

green doberman you throw out all these last names like he actually thinks about these things. he usually does things this way:

"black kid on roids at clean up, hasnt been hurt in 2 whole entire weeks"

"skinny white scrub from sox, got flip flop glasses fans seem to like him bats 5th"

"guy named after dude in bible. man, i had so many good memorys of dem faine women in chuch, he bat 2nd"

His thought process was Goodwin batted like .800 against Pavano, so I'll bench one of the best hitters in the league before him. Dusty needs a statistical study in meaningful data.
