I would have to go with David Akers overall, accurate and a heavy hitter...many good one though...funny how certain teams never have a great kicker....cough, cough 49ers....okay, they did have Wersching years ago

Keep your eye on Nate Kaeding from San Diego. The rookie from IOWA. His First FG was straight through from 48 and hit the net, so would've been good from 58. Will be a star in the league in the kicking game !!

Akers

He is the total package. And he isn't a wuss out there either, he can actually run and make tackles. Probably the most athletic kicker as well.

I would go with either Vander or Vinni

The kicker coming out of college that might be a great kicker is Nugent from Ohio State. When you feel comfortable kicking a 52 yd fg without adding anything extra to it, you are damn good!

Had the pleasure of watching Nate for four years at IOWA.

His goal his junior and senior year was to not miss ONE fg.....LOL!

I think he may have missed one or two in those two years combined.......and had many that were far from being your basic chipshot.

Not only accurate, but extremly powerful leg also......has kicked 70 yarders in practice.

Your right Jimmy, fantastic kicker.

How is it that Elling can't cut it playing for a dome team blowing a number of kicks, then ends up being the starting kicker for an outdoor team? That one I find extremely baffling.
