THIS ROCKS!!!

Good luck tonight Fishhead my fellow Red Sox enthusiast. I will buy the 1/2 and back the Broncos at home. good home field advantage and a better defense. ( But certainly at 3.5 I would back KC)

its football season baby!!

I assume your joking about "my" Yankees Mr. Smith. You're obviously talking about my Yankee avatar, but surely you didn't miss the "company" the avatar has....

Pretty sweet, huh Mr. Smith?

Great capping by yourself on todays semi-tough card.

I have KC as my fourth leg in the parlay at +3.5, so needless to say I am going to plunk down a good chunk on the Broncos at -3.

Broncos winning by 3 would be sweet!

Like yourself, have the PACK at the very generous +3.5 on Monday night.

Fishy this is square thinking. You are giving up money here. Either ya think KC is a good pick at +3.5 or DEN -3 is good? If you think its even then why the hell play KC in the first place. unless you are playing at a place with funny paying parlays.

hedging is wrong.
You are cutting into your long term profits by hedging.
I understand why you are doing it but maybe some playas might think its the right thing to do in every parlay if they have a late game as the last leg.

fishhead,

so should I bet heavy on denver too?

this hedging stuff has me confused. If I bet say $1000 on denver and lose and then green bay loses, I get nothing from skybook and lose $1100 on denver

When I was much younger and inexperienced, I hit 9 out of 10 parlay with the last game remaining, coincidentally the last one, 3 times in less than a year. I did not hedge, and lost a bundle only because as I said, I was still learning way back then. Fact is, if I would of been more experienced, I would of hedged on that last bet all 3 times and guaranteed quite a chunk. I remember having a disagreement about hedging with someone on here a while back, but although the above situation may have a lot to do with my thinking, I still stand behind my opinion of hedging, but depending on 3 things, if the parlay is 4 or more teams, how much the parlay is worth (I wouldnt hedge if I only had $10-$20 on it, and how you stand that specific day with your winnings/losses.....

Anybody playing 9 or 10 team parlays unless they are free or have some funky payout is not experienced.
The experience you should learn is not to play them as its unlikely you will get the best line on every game at the same book.
If you can`t afford to let the last bet ride you are betting too much on the parlay in the first place.

This is a definate square test.

My type of hedging is a very sophisticated type of hedge and could never be explained in a public forum.

It can involve buying points, other pending wagers, halftimes, in-game betting, etc.,etc, sometimes all rolled into one hedge/middle.

There is a method to my madness and it has served me well over the years.

If one is betting a REGULAR parlay...99% of the time it is NOT advisable to hedge for the casual bettor.
