looks like I have a horseshoe nailed to my forehead right now, everything is falling my way.

so in the skybook contest monday night I win $5000 if Green Bay covers +3.5. since my bet is zero, is there any reason why I should not take Carolina for $2500 and lock in the win?

even better, I can buy 1/2 point and take Carolina -2.5 2800-2300 or so and if Carolina wins by 3 its

city.

is there anything wrong with this hedge? I admit I am a moron when it comes to math, it seems to me to be the way to go though.

there is the fringe benefit to consider too that if GB covers I win the additional shot at 16 weeks to win another $5000 and a super bowl trip if I can nail another 5 teamer, so it seems I should hedge and take Carolina.

Glad I could accommodate you tonight with the KC loss.

On the hedge, do what is BEST FOR YOU!

Nobody but you can make the right decision.

My personal opinion is that you have to hedge/middle in some capacity.

Best of luck sir, and I hope the ball bounces your way tommorrow night.

Mr Smith please just lock in the profit and take CAROLINA..I was in a very similar spot two years ago and let it ride on Monday Night and LOST!

Don't get too greedy...the hook makes the game tempting but I would hedge that baby righ now! better yet by the hook on Carolina!

You may just middle the whole damn thing! This had to make you forget the FSU kicker prop or atleast temporarily!

Good Luck Smith

I wouldnt hedge 2500. you have to remember that 5000 isnt yours till you roll it over twice. that 5g's could turn out to be zero. considering its a free entry.. Id put 1 dime tops on Carolina, and id buy the point too to set up that juicy middle.

but do skybook a favor..dont hedge with them

I would hedge it up to what I would be betting on the game if there was no free 5k on the line. So, if you were going to bet $100 on Carolina, hedge it so that you will win $100-$200 if Carolina covers. Good luck. You might hedge 1/2 at + 3 and the other half of the hedge at 3 1/2. You might wait until game time and be able to get 3 1/2 without having to buy it. Good luck.

i will just say this......if you had a wager going into mnf that would pay you 5k if g.b +3' covered......and you didnt hedge with carolina........as a book i would be happy......

btw...what would a square do in this situation??....the square would bet 5k on gb.......hoping to win 10k.....lose and natta

I wouldn't worry about the rollover, too much, that can be dealt with, easily enough. Size the bets properly, if that's the issue.

By the way...Don't beat yourself up over the hedge. In the long run, locking up profits will do you good!
