GATOR COACH LT,

Gators +3 this Saturday!??

1. Gators play well at TENN as history dictates.
2. Revenge for 24-14 loss in swamp last year.
3. BIG advantage at QB for Florida.....CHRIS LEAK over a rookie.
4. Gators higher ranked.

This seems to me like a PK or +1 game.........not +3 for the Gators.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks,
FISH

gators have not been top notch since spurrier left.

ron zook has only been beating georgia, losing all the other big games

I'd be worried about that

Gators have better talent than Tenn

Leak huge revenge factor for how Fulmer has treated his brother,

Chris Leak was going to go to Tenn until fat Phil screwed it up

this line will drop
do not play the vols. We have 2 18 yr old true freshman qbs and a young secondary and a beat up def. line. Our starting running back probably won't start (ankle), but there is not much dropoff with Riggs. Our secondary lokked weak against UNLV. DB's got moved around after UNLV game. Our pre-season all SEC cornerback J. Allen got moved to free safety. These guys got beat downfield with some simple schemes I thought. Chris Leak is a great qb and will have more success than UNLV
We have a good O-line and strong linebackers.
Expect the vols to play not to lose.

FWIW
GL thanks

LSU is big, but that was early last year I think, before LSU was known to be a top team

Zook has been losing the "traditional rival" games which are oh so important for an SEC coach to keep his job.

0-2 vs Miami
0-2 vs FSU
0-2 vs Tennesse ( I think, not sure)
2-0 vs Georgia

Chris @ olympic

Fat phil didn't screw it up - he chose not to play Chris Leak's untalented brother 6th year senior CJ Leak while Claussen was hurt. He can't think on his feet. He plays safety now after playing tight end last week in the home opener. It was good move - I think fat phil knows better than high school senior
The Leak family didn't like it, so little brother wrote some bs in his gay little espn diary. He didn't get a scholarship, but he wasn;t coming here anyway - -
Chris is the one with the talent

thanks

MR.SMITH-
Agree, not a Zook fan.

However, I think you will see this line move in the direction of Florida when the public and touts pounce on the Gators.

They will will more than likely point at the huge difference in the quarterbacks as one of their main reasons, and rightfully so.

Not to mention the factors I pointed out in my initial post.

I certainly do not see this game going any higher than -3.

Again, would like to hear COACH GATOR LT's take on the game.

PS- I took a little of the +3 allready.

Fla should swallow some pride if thats what it takes and try to get Spurrier back & dump Zook. Look at those 8 games I posted. If Spurrier was there, NO WAY they go 2-6 in that span

not to mention things like losing to Ole Miss at home and getting buried by Iowa

IOWA was loaded last year and a quite frankly a way better team than the Gators.

I believe they ended up ranked 8th in the country.

Spurrier coached team would have destroyed the Hawkeyes.

Zook is a great recruiter but horrible gameday coach.

Florida should not be the dog in this game. My #'s say Fla -3 or 4 is the right line & I'm sitting pretty with the Gators +4.

The only think I don't trust is Zook screwing this up!

Agree 100% with what you said, except I made the game a PK with what I thought the line should open at.

If Zook loses 3 games look for Spurrier to return. He is a great college coach. He will be coaching somewhere next year. Maybe even Tn.
Zook is clearly not a good coach.

Uncle Fish, I just saw your thread. I played Florida +4 at the Hilton when I was at the RX Bash in august. I see no reason to switch. Mr Smith, could you possibly be a Criminole? Zook is 1-1 against UT. I believe UF has only lost once in Knoxville since 90 or 92. It was in 98. Uf will benefit greatly by seeing both UT qbs in the UNLV game. When 2 power teams play, I usually will be on the puppy. Go Gators! LT

OBTW, As bad as Zook is as a favorite, he is just as good as a dog!

The rest of the SEC was catching up to Spurrier. He recruited horribly his last 2 years. Zook is a great recruiter and that is why Florida plays so many Sophs and Freshmen. Fulmer is a classic example of what a great recruiter will do for you. Does anyone think that Bobby-Jimmy Swaggert-Bowden is a great coach? He could be the Best Recruiter of all time. LT

Buzz, if Spurrier ends up at N Carolina I believe he will destroy whatever reputation he still has. He should wait for a football power like Texas to come open. I think N Carolina is to steep a hill to climb. LT

Spurrier will never go to North Carolina.

Powerhouse schools with jobs soon coming open are Washington (although Boise St Hawkins might grab that), UCLA, Syracuse and Illinois (if you consider that a powerhouse).

Spurrier will only coach in the south. I'd bet my life on that as this is just a fact with him. It would take some mighty big perks to get him out of warm climaate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the SEC as he could never get enough of torturing that conference. Don't count on him to go to North Carolina.

He is only interested in a program that needs to get over the hump, not a total rebuild job which NC would be.
