tell them you are a consultant who charges $500 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. tell them you will talk to them but only after you get their credit card or similar so you can bill them the $1,00 first before you can continue to talk.
you will LOVE the reaction you will get from them and watch how fast they try and stammer and stutter their way out of it. they will try and do their sales pitch - but stick to your guns and tell them you either get their money up front or else you will have to hang up.

i did one last sunday (not 2 days ago - but 8 days ago) but for reasons i can't get into i had some problems and can't post it here.
