Recently, I have been unable to log into the forums from my home computer (I am currently at work). I like to follow a few guys in the forum and play their picks etc.
I suspect that my problem exists with a setting in my browser. I run Window 98. I can bring the "prescription homepage" up all right, but when I hit the forums button it grinds away and says "page not found". I have tried logging in direct from the RX page, I have tried contacting both the shrink and the Webmaster from the prescription homepage with no results. I have copied the address from work and mailed it myself at home and still nothing. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any thoughts are appreciated, Bumble.

ARE YOU USING SOME TYPE OF PARENTAL SETTING THAT DOESNT ALLOW CHAT OR FORUMS?

No, and thats what is driving me nuts...I havent knowingly changed anything and I can go on other forums and our daughter chats online etc. I have always been able to get right on until two or three weeks ago. I just can't get by that button "theprescription.infopop.net"

Do you use AOL?
If so check the parental settings on that it is pretty easy to do there.

The only other thing you could check is when you open a your web page under internet explorer go to

-Tools
- then internet options
- then content on the top tab
- then check to see what you have your content advisor - if you have you have the settings button available then you will have to adjust it
or you can set it so that you can have full acess with passwords if you are worried about a child in the house

If that doesn't work. Let me know and I will trty and figure out what it might be.

You may want to clear your browser's cache and clean all cookies out.

If it goes to a blank page, and it says "Detect network settings" click that, it may work after that.

I appreciate the comments. I have tried those ideas and met with no success. I had our MIS friend come over for two hours and still nothing. I have signed up for the AT&T broadband internet service and my friend will put on Windows XP that same day, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.
I should probably mention that I did have a problem with a parasite called Xupiter.com that invades your machine thru a pop up and installs itself into your browser. This is quite the pest and requires a download called spybot to remove. If anyone else is having problems like this, I can direct you to the site for a solution. Thanks again for the ideas and concern, Bumble
