The prop rule is for any player who opens an account with the intention of only playing props each week.
I guess it may be different with other books but we offer props as an incentive. The hold % is extremely low and the time and effort is takes to set them up and mantain is difficult. Our selection is may not be the largest but it is defintely TOP 5.
I would compare Props to a retail store that advertises sale items. Obviously, the store makes very little money off the sale of the sale items. The idea behind it is to encourage cross sales in order to make a profit off the consumer. If a store was offering sale items and they were not able to capture cross sales how long do you think they would remain in business?
We felt throwing these players out was a little too drastic. We dont want to lose their prop business. We dont want to lose any business. We just want to ensure that the players understand that if they want to take advantage of our huge bonuses, great prop offerings and overall great service they need to give us a higher percentage of their overall business and this includes straight, parlay, teaser or any other action.
I hope this doesnt offend any readers. In fact I was quite surprised by the thread. The email went out to 10 players and I only had 2 customers complain. One customer I already worked out a mutually acceptable compromise. All the emails received back were extremely professional. The majority of the players agreed to the policy and a few actually said many other books expect the same thing.
Heres an example:
"Hi Dave. I called in today in your absence and spoke to someone who said you were receiving alot of feedback on this e-mail and were determining a gameplan. I told them that since virtually all of my prop plays occur on the weekend football while I play baseball game regular lines all week that I thought it was more reasonable that we look at the big picture of a week instead of daily. I plan to give you the action you require, but on weekends I plan to play more props while all week I'll be giving you regular lines to make up for it. Does that sound OK?
In either case, please unlock my account so I can review today's wagers and place more baseball action with my vow that I will not place a single prop until I hear from you"
I worked with this player and the account remains active.
Here is another:
"I understand the rule. This is fine. Thanks"
And another:
"
i understand and agree to your new policy. please activate my account. thanks"
Needless to say if 8 positive responses came back out of 10 Im sure our props department wont suffer tremendously from the new rule.

You as always are welcome to your opinion. However, I hope readers will remember your opinion is biased since you are an ex employee.
Please keep in mind that the single most important thing to me is to keep my book profitable. A profitable book always pays their players. Some players will lose and others will win. Both groups are always welcome to play at Wagerweb. I just expect the ones that win to give us the same respect that we give them and work to follow the rules.
