If NFL Coaches AREN'T betting on the games....

or worried about the pointspreads then why do these coaches make some of the choices they do?

I mean i was watching the SD game, chargers are down by 10, they have 4th down and 20 from their own 10.....

However, there is only 3 minutes left, and they have 2 t/o left.....Does the coach really think they can punt and get the ball back twice in that amount of time....Why would u not take a chance on 4th down? u might make it, u might get a defensive penalty with the new rules.....either way, its your only chance, is it any better to lose by 10 than by 17 in the NFL?

It really makes u wonder sometimes...

I'm sure there are some coaches that bet, or have bet on games in a sport(s), even if it isn't current coaches. But........I would be willing to bet that refs have more so than coaches.......

Not griping about losing on the game, i didn't lose....Its just a trend i have been noticing more often......If you are playing to win, why would u care if u dont make it.....your only chance is to go for it...punting only makes the score "look" better, but the "L" still counts the same......It just strikes me as odd....

I took one on the chin with Bobby B yesterday kicking a Fg with 2 minutes left up 16, there is no question in my mind college coaches coach with the spread in mind....I will never forget the time Joe Pa threw a bomb from mid field with less than 1 minute left up 20 vs Rutgers (who was covering by less than 7 back in 1995)...The Rutgers coach was livid at the after game handshake....No doubt paterno ordered a bomb to try and cover...Lou Holtz was another gem of a pointspread watching coach...MFers

Do you think we could have Rio shill or someone from the books end "search' their database of accounts to find out if the players, coaches, and refs are account holders. Don't want names ( would be nice but breaches all privacy laws) but a figure as to how many say Skybook has as account holders. 50 maybe 150 who knows

im am sure a SHITLOAD of coachs and Players and REFS bet spreadlines/ ML...you can totally see it at times with calls and what not IMO

i think its more of an issue in college with the coachs trying to keep the wealthy alumni happy so they will contribute more money to the athletic program(read recruiting)

One could ask the same thing about Detroit coach yesterday. With a total of 44 and the score 30-13 instead of lining up for the kicked extra point, he tries going for 2. If he had kicked the extra point, he is down by 16; 2 touchdowns and 2 two point conversions. Instead tries the 2 point now, still has an under play.

FISHFACE, I think alot over the years have done it next time I see a game where I think a coach has $$ on it ill post it to you... when I said Shitload I include players and refs also...I would lean to more of them then coaches but im sure coaches have done it.. you can say FOR sure they have not???
