All this arteries clogging garbage I have been brought up eating scares the hell out of me now.

Any one else finding themselves looking at the labels more so now...at the Saturated Fat, Fat %...If you don't , my advice don't start! Everything I read is loaded with this sh!t...Eat one cup cake and you're at like 40% Sat Fat for the day....Have a bowl of ice cream and you have eaten enough FAT for a few days!

I'm a goner boys...I have eaten junk food my whole life:breakit: And all this time I felt as if i was eating decently...I have no excess fat on me, but I can only imagine I will be in he same place Bill Clinton was a few weeks ago!

Why is it everything thats fun or enjoyable is so harmful to us....

Anyone take an aspirin a day just to keep the blood thinner? Last week i was stressing on a few games and felt tingling sensations in my neck and arms...Is it nerves or my pipes clogging up? Eating good food is one of lifes greatest pleasures....

i used to be almost label obsessed. but this is when i was trying to get in shape. id look at the different brands for the same product for the fat/protien/carbohydrates. now i worry about it less but i still find myself reading the labels on things unless i already have a good idea.

i will say this j-man. when you are as big as you are you almost have to eat junk food becuase you need such a cal count just to maintain. and really who wants to scarf down carbohydrates with pieces of chicken in it all day unless youre getting paid to be that big.

fascinating thing to me is marvin harrison "the junk food diet" guy eats nothing except junk food and more junk food he has to have at least 2-3 tasty cakes a day he even has them shipped to his house.

Journey,

Go see a doctor, get a blood test done and find out where you stand with blood pressure, cholesterol, etc...then worry about what you start putting in your tank.

I had alot of testing done a year ago, I have excellent blood pressure 120/80 range, heart rate 50...I have no idea what my cholesterol level is though...Can we do this ourselves (get cholesterol checked)? I eat alot of seafood, what worries me is the sh!t being dumped in the waters, and the imported seafood....Shrimp & Fish and mercury poisoning levels...that could do nervous sytsem damage...

yup. .when i was like 10-12 years old seafood was one my most favorite thing and now it just doesnt seem the same when i eat it anymore.

and general is right about subway. get the special (1.99 6 inch) and have them put everything in it. it is the only way you will get such a huge variety of vegtables on a daily basis. i even add the mayo and oil and vinegar. if it is only 6 inches why not. you can get this as often as whatever without giving a hoot about keeping track of what youve spent on fast food and you are eating something reasonably healthy.

j/man your one funny dude.. listen you can eat all the fish and seafood you want you will not get mercury posionong. you would have to eat fish 3 times a day for about 10 thousand years for it to have an affect.

alot of this has to do with genetics your families history if they live a long age thats a positive ,heart disease on both sides of the family treeline.

spend some freekinn $$$$ and go see a doctor and get your cholestorol level checked out

they also have these full body scans to detect any type of cancer throughout your body , it is not covered by insurance, lmfao bunch of crooks that they are. it is called a PA'PE TEST not sure oon the spelling. j-maN it cost about 1,200 bucks.

me personally i went on the atkins diet and it wells for me ...NO BREAD,very low cards and i cheat on the weekends, funny thing is my cholestorol level you would think would be sky high (eating all meat and cheese and mayo ) it actually dropped 40 points...

hey i look at this way 10 million years ago the caveman were not eating bread they were EATING MEAT......lol:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Kidslick...appreciate the post but the fish and shelfish toxins can be dangerous...and they're in the waterways , especially imported seafood.....I don't think family history can be a good barometer and here's why...Suppose all your ancestors smoked and were lazy fat people? Of course there going to break down early...and of course it can be a factor, but I'm not going to lose sleep over my chain smoking dead ancestors who had heart problems and died in their 80's....

Anyone ever hear of the Mediteranian diet?

The only thing I suppose I need to have checked is my cholesterol level...the other vital signs BP HR are good...can we purchase the Chol. test anywhere?

the mercury level in fish is so low you do not have to worry about it.

i fish off long island sound, east end (PLUM-ISLAND) one of the best areas to go stripe bass fishing . this so called placed does experiments on all animals , and they were saying the level of mercury in the water/fish were at a higher level than normal. i have been fishing there for over 18 years never had one problem with the fish and high levels of mercury.
