YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

thank you MLB for doing this

about 6-ish weeks ago my friend and i bought a ticket to the expos wednesday home game - their last home game of the season - hoping/thinking it would be their last-ever game - and making the ticket worth something.

thank you mlb for this move - without it our tickets are worthless.

Winky: What do you expect it to be worth ?
if i can get a few former expos - like vladimir guerrero, pedro or frank robinson to sign it - a lot more than if it isn't :>Grin>

it is just like the unused 3,000 hit tickets i got from when george brett got his hit in anaheim. the tickets were worth something - but since i got tim fortugno (the guy who gave up hit 3k) and george brett himself to sign TWO of the 5 tickets i have left - the value went from almost worthless to priceless (i am told they are worth several $100 - not sure i believe it - but i can hope. now if i can only get tony gwynn to sign his 3k hit ticket i'd be set - he's only stiffed me 3 times so far in this request - the motherf****r!).

why do you say that? it appears that there is plenty of fan base to support 2 baseball teams there.

Huck I Think Both Stadiums Would Be Packed On Most Nights If The Teams Were Competitive. The Orioles Arent Drawing Many Fans Nowadays But They Sold Out Almost Every Game From 1992 Through The Late 90s. Northern Virginia Has Many Many Affluent Communities.

I was up there a couple months ago and loved the downtown baltimore inner harbor area. Very clean and felt safe with a lot to do.

Maybe President Bush Leaned On Mlb To Bring Baseball Back To Washington. Probably Not Because Those Other Cities In Conention For The Expos Didnt Seem Very Viable To Me.

Right tommy, so now you have fans who wont drive as far to see a similar product. it will be hard [for Baltimore] to become competitive again when another team is taking money out of their pocket. so now the tejeda and lopez contracts will run out and theyll be crap again

Baltimore And Washington Are Very Dense Areas With Very Affluent Suburbs. If The Teams Are Competitive And The New Stadium In Washington Turns Out Half As Gorgeous As Camden Yards Then Both Places Will Fill Up.

ESPN NEWS is reporting that the deal to move to washington will likely fall through , becuase half the stadium would have to be privately funded and they cant get it done.

Las Vegas is once the target and the talk for the EXPOS to move to, and the mayor of Las Vegas is supposed to be on for an interview in a bit.

....actually, if they can't resolve the present situation, they may play at RFK for a few seasons, and approve the Northern Virginia plan...but don't count Vegas out!!
