For being such a great coach..Leaving remlinger in to pitch to dunn (who is 5/6 this year against him) instead of bringing in farnsworth who had retired dunn 8/9 times.As soon as dunn gets the hit (which turned out to be athe winning run) the dumbass then goes to farnsworth.The combination of winning my run line bet and seeing all those obnoxious cubs fans squirm really made my day.

For those who were watching the game- Did any of you notice FSC show the old woman with the "Steve Stone for Manager"(I think those were the exact words) sign in the bottom of the 12th, after Stoney had criticized Dusty's decision-making throughout the top-half of the 11th and 12th innings? I couldn't believe FSC showed that, considering the circumstances.

There are plenty to take the blame for this collapse, but Dusty should be fired imo.:howdy:

MATT CLEMENT is a starter..no matter what kind of 3 game funk he's in..

NEVER take a young guy like that out of a rotation..could blow his confidence forever...

Cubbies had bases loaded 3 times not to score. Prior striking out 2 times with them loaded. Hate betting a # in the national league with pitchers hitting. Most times its like having 8 automatic outs a game with the #'s 8 & 9 hitters.:finger:

GO ASTROS!!!

My playoff tickets might actually pay off this year! Season ticket holders for the Astros were forced to buy our playoff tickets back in the first week of Sept to guarantee that we would get them. I paid for them and was a little worried about the Astros not making it!

Anyway, did anyone really think that the Cubs were going to the NL anyway??

Meantime this race is not over, sure it was a tuff loss for the Cubs but they still have 3 games to play. The Astros look to have easiest schedule with 3 game set in Houston Vs. Colorado, while the Cubs host the (already in playoffs) Braves. The Giants and Dodgers settle matters in the NL West themselves.

even if cubs sweep the braves (which will never happen) they still only have a small chance. Houston would have to lose 2 of 3.If i'm not mistaken if the cubs win the upcoming series 2-1 they still can't win the wildcard.
