You can a learn a great deal about a person and a sports figure realtive to how they hold themselves, conduct themselves, and the disposition they carry.

I realize that ICHIRO is from a foreign land, and I know he is the ICON of SPORTS legends in his home country.

But we seem to not spend enought time discussing how ever since ICHIRO came to the states HE HAS

WORKED HARD
WORKS ON HIS GAME DAILY
BEEN A GREAT TEAM PLAYER AND A GREAT TEAMMATE
RESPECTS MLB AND RESPECTS BASEBALL
TRIES HARD DAILY TO BETTER ACCLAMATE HIMSELF IN THE USA
TRIES HARD TO WORK ON HIS ENGLISH,
HE HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR
A GENTLEMAN
and the respect he showed to Sisler's family, when these people are so removed from the game, but here he is going ove and bowing down and showing respect. and HE MAKES MILLIONS here in the states and in his home land

All of this when we see chairs hitting fans in the head, fans beaning players in the head with beer bottles, steroids, overpaid players, and rediculous salaries

ISN'T NICE TO SAY "THAT ICHIRO IS ONE HECK OF A GUY, AND HE CAN SURE PLAY BASEBALL WELL"

I agree with you 100%..

You are totally correct on Ichiro. He is a role model for other players that are too arrogant and overlook the game as a blessing to them instead of other way around.
