Wsex - Betting Amounts Question

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO BET WHAT YOU WANT, AND NOT FROM THE PULL DOWN MENU PROVIDED BY WSEX?????

I had this arguement with Jay a year or so ago on the RX and he insisted that this was a feature, not a flaw.

its a MAJOR flaw. for instance, the bets go in like 60 dollar increments!!!!! what if you want to bet 225 and not 250!!!?!?!?!?!?!?

I totally agree, the only way to do it is to make a combination of small bets that add up to "close" to what you really want to bet.

Yes, I am the one who put that feature in there.

Which contest has $60 increments? I believe most have $10 increments up to $100 and then $50 above that up to $500.

The reason I set it up that way was to elminate claims of betting $110 when they only meant to bet $10 or similar. There can not be a typo with the present system.

But, I will refer this to them. Maybe they will set up an "advanced" template for those who want it and can be responsible for their typing.

As much as I like WSEX I have to agree with the consensus here.

If you've been doing it that way for a long time and nobody, none of the top books, none of the decent books, heck not even any of the shltty books have copied that system, it's gotta make ya think...

Feature....definately not.

Flaw.....well.....WSEX is such a great book that it's a minor thing to put up with.

I guess I would call it more of a "quirk."

Make one play at $100 and the next play for $125. Now you have your $225 bet. Simple enough.

I stopped playing there because of this. If I want to be $66.66 or $166.66 I want to lay the amount that I choose. Also, they are slow grading late games.

When I first signed up with WSEX, I disliked this feature. I have since changed my mind. The thing that I like about the current WSEX betting interface is the SPEED, and sometimes speed is everything.

The thing I don't like about it is the fact that, if there's a line change when you click on the button to place your bet, the screen with the pull-down menu doesn't indicate this. You have to be careful to check the numbers on the pull-down menu to make sure that the odds haven't changed.
