As I See It, by Jimmy Vaccaro

Alabama vs Kentucky

When a team starts to go bad in early October, at times there are a myriad of problems that should be addressed. Sometimes they are corrected and at other times there is not much you can do. With the injury of Brodie Croyle two weeks ago and some of the boosters saying, "So what that Mike Price went to a few strip clubs," I think you see where I am leaning. Alabama was poised to take its rightful place in the upper crust of college football but with some bad decision making against Arkansas a few weks ago and completely being outclassed by Lou Holtz it might be a long two months. This game and possibly Mississippi State might be the only competitive game where they will be favored. Kentucky surely struggled against Ohio but look for Shane Boyd to have a big game here. The Tide got them last year 27-17. Once again look for this number to drop during the week and let's hope that Shula starts Marc Guillon again at q.b.

Take care,

Jimmy V.
