Merger Update

Publicly listed Corporate bookmaking companies, International All Sports Limited (IAS) and Canbet Limited, which signed a merger agreement in August, continue to make progress in bringing the entities together, which will bring substantial benefits to both customers and shareholders of the two companies.

IAS was established by Bookmaking legend Mark Read, in 1995, who remains Executive Chairman and brings over 30 years of wagering expertise to the enterprise.

Since the merger announcement a number of achievements have been made;

Firstly, the former management team that was responsible for Canbet’s poor business practice and performance has been removed with a new management structure taking over and generating improved results. Canbet’s loss-making deals, arrangements and partnerships have been terminated. (The previous failed management has been dispersed most of which are now employed by the bookmaking company Mansions).

IAS has introduced cutting edge technology, new systems, new customer conversions, and new staff including specialist personnel from IAS redeployed to the UK operation.

No Canbet debt has been transferred to the merged entity.

IAS has a strong balance sheet with healthy cash reserves giving customers the long-term security they expect from a substantial corporate bookmaker.

You can now look forward to IAS launching new and complementary businesses and an expanded product range that includes horse racing.

The New Canbet management, under the International All Sports banner looks forward to keeping you informed as this exciting new company evolves. We would like to thank you for your loyalty and appreciate your patronage.

If there are any aspects of this letter that you would like further information on, please feel free to contact Graham Eddy at graham.eddy@iasbet.com.

Thanks for the info. Seems kind of slanderous to the previous mgmt. Looks bad on the new if you ask me.

Yeah I got it.

Not sure if it is slanderous or just truthful. It is no mistake Canbet has become a second rate book basically in terms of hold and lines. But they have still continued to pay when you win, and can find a decent number there that hits.

So maybe with this new team in place things might get back to normal. Or maybe they will continue t go towards a more book friendly approach as they have done so lately.

But to be fair, not as many books are offering reduced juice anymore, and many have gone back to -110 format. But Canbet still has its moments, and you can catch them on a slow mover or a number that someone has hit and is over adjusted. But surely not the plethora of bettable numbers they used to post regularly.

Agreed... absolutely unnecessary to do this. It's not like the former management is badmouthing Canbet in any way. At least it hasn't been reported on any forums if that's the case.
