I know Vegas has now capped it's local property to investors as of last year. Is this still a fact?

I'm a mortgage broker who's thinking of buying atleast one SFR out in Henderson or any of the new developements around town. Aside from connecting with a realator out there, any recommendations on new developing city's / neighborhoods???

Part of the other reason is so I have a legitimate business excuse to be out there while finding time to mosey over to BarbaryCoast for some plays or throwing chips around on the strip.

This is a serious thread. I used to see recommendations to different cities in the investment rooms. Unfortunately the room no longer exists.

Forget it. You would be lucky to get a two bedroom condo for that anymore and it won't be right around GVR. The whole area is like a Summerlin alternative now with small single family homes, say 1500 sq ft going for 350k. 186 just isn't enough to get in the game anymore outside of a condo conversion (ie former apartment) or a skanky place in a bad area.

Check out the Southern Highlands.Very nice neighboorhood. It is still so new that the neigboorhood Smith's has only been open less than a year. There was nothing around there.I no longer live there but when I left stores were starting to open and more and more houses going up.I also like the location.Really just a couple miles directly South of the strip.South of Blue Diamond off Decatur.
