Well I do agree on letting Nathan pitch.

However they should have taken him out once he issued his first walk.

Would you have taken Joe out? If so, who replaces him? Crain? Rookie. Romero, out of control? Kyle, can't trust. Mully that's scary. I thought it was a risk going with Nathan but didn't like the options.

MG,

The manager made the right move with keeping his closer in the game.

Like I Said after the first walk you could tell he was fatigued. The manager didnt error when he let Nathan stay, he did however mess up when he let him stay in after the first walk.

He errored by not having anyone in the pen. He couldn't even put someone in after the first walk as he wasn't prepared. I think he should've pulled him part way thru the batter after the walk. Oh well, sweep at the dome.

MG,

even though baseball guy has got that damn "kerry/edwards" embarrassing thing i do agree with him here. you have to take him out after walking #9 cairo that was bad, and if not then FOR SURE after walking jeter on four straight!!! i mean WTF. then you leave him in when he couldn't throw a rock into the ocean at that point, and you groove a fastball to arod????????? WTF he was waving at the slider two innings before GOD!!! i can't remember being so let down by a game before in my life -- i can't even watch the bos/ana game. i have tickets for friday's game -- i don't know if i can bring myself to go. F--k!!!

This just in!

Joe Nathan was rushed to the local Stapels where he was seen buying multiple rubber bands to try and keep his right arm from falling off.

I agree with him for letting Nathan pitch a 3rd inning because you have a chance to put the gauntlet down on the Yankees & most likely win the series if you would sweep in NY.

The one thing I do disagree with though is the fact you didn't have someone up in the bullpen before he went out there for the 12th. I say that because you know your stud hasn't pitched more then 3 innings in a game ALL SEASON!!!!

Common sense would tell you that you should have a backup plan in case he can't get it done for the 12th. He made a huge tactical error & payed for it.

you -- try losing a longshot twins sweep bet -- that, i didn't care about too much -- didn't expect that to win, but lost a pretty nice size +183 dog bet that i really did think had a reasonable chance to win.:(

Hanson,

In my opinion Santana clearly didn't have his stuff last night & had his defense bail him out. He probably was wise in taking him out last night. Wouldn't you agree since for them to win, they needed him to win twice. Why waste him?

Why didn't anyone come out to the mound to give him a rest or at least try to stall?

he had only thrown 90 pitches at that point -- and i'd take santana throwing right-handed over any of the twins bullpen other than nathan who pitched the 9th.

i'll tell you the twinks have a daunting task in front of them -- they ahve ABUSED an already meager bullpen and they have silva pitching friday:neenee: they need 7 or 8 out of him for a snowball's chance.

gardenhire, not only f--ked-up the 12th, but in the 8th with runners on 2nd and 3rd he should've pinchit the kid (kubel) who was obviously nervous beyond belief -- his AB's were nothing short of pathetic.

Hans,

He definately should've taken Kubel out, how bout Augie, he's been great. I don't like Johan pitching on 3 days rest. It seems to always back fire. Gardy will take a lot of heat from the media tomorrow.

Get your $$$ back on my total of the year tomorrow, along with both dogs in football.
