The manager must have been smokin cheap crack to leave that closer in against yanks...Notice the boston manager put 3 diff pitchers in one inning. The guy was dead tired..u could see that from his body language. Any one would have been btr. Wound up walking 2 batters ..they were the tying and winning run... Minnesota a complete joke....no shot against yanks....

Maybe if they could spend an extra $75 mil like the BoSox or Yankees, they could get better relief pitching. I think we all knew they were in trouble. Now they have real problems, can Nathan pitch in game 3?

FAIR......Twins payroll is only 75 mil less than sox and a 135 mil less than the yankees....w/ 75-135 mill to play w/ coach may have had someone to go whn Nathan was outta gas!

Are you actually trying to say that Terry Francona did a better job managing than Gardenhire? Give me a break. Terry Francona is the worst manager in baseball (Clint Hurdle is a close 2nd). Gardenhire is one of the very best. Gardenhire rolled the dice to try to take a 2-0 lead in Yankee stadium. It didn't work out. To say the Twins have no shot is ridiculous. The Twins have probably the best home field advantage is baseball. Kevin Brown didn't punch a wall in Baltimore because he shut them out. He got rocked. Are you basing your no shot attitude on his arm? I think you should put your entire bankroll on the Yankees to win the series. What a joke!!

Payroll is not the issue here. Sure the Yanks have more talent but bottom line is almost any reliever is better than a tired closer at that point. Twins get smoked back home, this was their shot. Yanks win game 3 easy.
