Does the US Govt realize just how much Sports Betting contributes to the Economy?

The impact has to be monumental I would think...

Lets for the sake of this arguement imagine if there was NO GAMBLING ON SPORTS , just like our beloved bass ackwards government wishes :finger:

The Television Revenue would fall off the table, for starters...which would trickle right on down to every man and woman in the United States....

Gambling on Sports , and Sports Viewership contribute so much to the economy in round about ways that aren't directly measured , but without the ability to wager on sports IMO would do serious damage to the economy, but of course at the very worst US citizens would go back to their locals...

Sports make the global economy go round, and would not be nearly as popular without sports wagering!

Obviously losing the gambling revenue to 3rd world nations is not a good thing for the US economy, but that's another ball being dropped by the US Govt.:think:

I am referring to fan interest, and if there was NO BETTING...who would watch all these games? Players would be making 10 times less money...the impact is really unmeasurable, but IMO if no one could wager ANYWHERE, like the law says what would that do to the economy...

Who would be looking at Mike Hampton's career numbers vs Houl? :biglaugh:

Even internet websites would lose ad revenue, (not talking about this one):think:
