I decided to test out Mansion and made a deposit via neteller for $350. When I tried to make a bet and click on the little add bets button nothing happens for me. I emailed them and they reponded very quickly with a possible solution. It did not work for me however and I have decided to withdraw my funds and move on. I requested a neteller and they said they can not do it until they have my drivers license on file. I have a problem with that. I have never given a book my drivers license and I never will. Any suggestions on how to get around this problem?

In order to get money by any type of withdrawals you MUST to have a valid id on file ( Australian and English books do that ). I think you can send them your passport if you do not want send your driver licence ( i sent my identity card because i do not live in the USA ). Ask them. I see that you are not the 1st that had problem with their software so someone should tell them something. I do not had any so far but i only made a few bets.

Chalk it up as a 350$ lesson and move on without your cash. Alot of shops want your picture ID for payout. Guess its there way of knowing who you really are after they run a check on you. Your password is enough privacy to get a payout. Hell do they ask for your picture ID when sending your Initial Funds,"NO"! Thanks for the info, crossed Mansion off my list for good.

Concorde- I have never ran into this problem before, even when I was at Bowmans years ago, they did not require my DL or Passport. That makes me upset that they dont ask for it when you first sign up. They are basically saying you can play without a Dl on file, but if you want your money, we need it. I dont agree with that.

On the bright side... I got a call from a very nice guy at Mansion and he is trying to solve the problem for me. I will keep all updated as far as the software problem works out. Although even when or if they get that fixed I know I will never be a serious player there knowing that the require the Identification to get paid.

Tommy,

I joked with you. I HATE send ID to books that want it because it is a loose of time. Plus i had to spend money for purchase a scanner that i used three times and only and always for that reason! Pinny is one of the best book in the world ( the best for me but it is a personal opinion ) and they do not require ID like nearly all other American books.

Pinnacle requires photo ID. Their website says:

"Credit/Debit Card Security
You have to turn in a Credit/Debit Card Security Form the first time you use your credit/debit card with copies of your picture identification and credit/debit card, front and back. The Customer Service Department must have this on file within three days of your initial transaction. No withdrawals will be processed without the proper credit/debit card information on file with our office. Please email csd@pinnaclesports.com (Customer Service) and we will forward the form to you."

It is correct to say that some (by no means all) UK books and all Aussie books (due to Aussie legislation) require ID.

It does not have to be a driving licence though. I agree that best practice is to state that you will need this BEFORE you post up cash, I am pretty sure Canbet do this so am surprised Mansion didn't.

I had to provide ID to Bowmans, Canbet and Royal last year. I chose to use a xerox of my passport rather than a driver license since the passport has no home address on the photo page. This is not an unusual request, stop making such a big deal of it.

x- pinnacle requires it for credit cards, which I would have no problem with. They do not require it for Neteller though.

Hanover- The problem I have is that they ask for it when you go to withdraw funds. If they asked upf ront I would have never posted up.

I don't know anything about Mansion and don't have an account there, but to be fair here the text below is from the Mansion FAQ's regarding withdrawals. They clearly indicate the ID requirement.
"The cashier then determines if MANSION has the required documentation on file:

(a) It checks that a copy of the front and back of the card is held on file for all Mastercard and Visa cards used to deposit funds.
(b) It checks that Photographic ID is held on file. (A MUST for all forms of withdrawal methods). "

I emailed them and they reponded very quickly

At present I have been sending them three unanswered emails, so you are at least lucky enough to be taken care of.

han-I did see this after the fact. I feel like by them not requiring the ID up front that they are basically saying that it is fine for anyone to send us money, but for us to send it to you we need to know who you are. I see it as another way to try to discourage you from getting payouts. I will write off the $350 before I ever would send a ID. I am just lad that I always send small amounts at first to get to know a book.

I agree. If they are going to need ID at any time, they should require it as part of the account opening process. I felt the same way with Canbet.
