With Twins leading 5-1 in the top of the 6th behind probable Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana it looks like the Yanks will be forced to game 5 at the Stadum tommorow. Mike Mussina v Brad Radke probable starters. Pretty hairy situation to have it all come down to one game.

wow - I open my cyber mouth and the Twins take out Santana for no real reason. He has thrown 87 pitches thru 5 innings and with only 3 days rest he might be tired.

Kidslick, actually as a youngster I was a big Yankee fan, mainly because for years while I was growing up the Sox were terrible and almost impossible to root for. Today I have mixed emotions. I would on one hand like to see a Red Sox - Yankee series, while on the other I believe the Sox have a better chance of making it to the world series against the Twins. Most likely it will be a Boston at New York Game one next week, which should make for some interesting threads here at The Rx..

I like a home run as much as the next guy but why is Sheffield trying to hit one to Wisconsin with the lead runner on 2nd and no outs? He should be trying to move the runner over anyway he can.

the lead runner was on second, but of course you are correct, the one thing you must do in that situation is advance the runner

Is it just me or do the Twins look terrible at the plate. I mean no one that comes up looks like he has any chance to get a hit. Of course it could be Yankee pitching also.

At least I helped (this thread :heh: ) put the Twins out of their misery. The Dodgers should challange the Twins next week to see which playoff team is lamer. Onward to the series everyone has been waiting for a full year for: The Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees.
