Am I the only one that expects a TON of public money to flow in on the Yanks to continue their domination? I was thinking maybe -130 or so, this number up at Olympic shocks me.

As much as I would have loved to see the Twins get their due respect, there is nothing like this AL series, as good as it gets. Don't even have to be a fan of either team to love the intensity of the matchup with the arrogance of the Yankee fans and the incredible loyalty Sox fans have despite being heartbroken endlessly. Lets hope for another 7 games, but with a different result :)

FWIW - I think the line is way to high myself. Of course I hope to be very wrong. Looking forward to a great series if I can stand to watch.:neenee:

I find the number to be a complete shock as well....Boston has one pitcher thats clearly above all ...other than that, where is the advantage Boston has?

Mussina, Brown and ???????? Lieber,ElDuque or Vasquez (miserable disappointment)

Schilling, Pedro, Arroyo, Lowe

Yankees will have to out slug Boston this time...I think its going 7....Yankees keeping Mussina in line in game 1 was huge, for their chances IMO

Yankees have something that the Red Sox can only dream about:

Derek Jeter

Jeter is the heart of the Yankees, there is no doubt he has as good of instincts as any player ever has...post season is 'JeterTime'

A-Rod though, sure could be in that same class!

I think the line is accurate. The Yankees lineup gets a little soft at the bottom. The BoSox mash 1-9. And the pitching is better.

Sox have a major weak spot at 2nd with Mark Bellhorn both defensively and offensively. Of course Cairo is not much better.

1st Base - advantage Boston.
2nd - Yankees (by default)
SS - Yankees (Jeter)
3rd. Yankess (by a ton)
Left - Boston (Manny)
Center - Boston (Damon)
Right - Yankees (Sheffield)
Catcher - Even (Posada overated)
DH - Boston (Ortiz)

Starting Pitching - Boston
Relief Pitching Yankees (not by a lot).

Bench - Yanks (very slight).

Manager - Yankees.

i couldn't agree more. i have no clue how the price can be set this high. i was looking to play the sox figuring the line would come close to "Pick" or maybe the Sox -120ish - but at this price they are almost forcing you to take the Yankees - and as much as i didn't want to do it - at this price i almost have to.

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=4 width="100%" bgColor=#eeeeee border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=typeStandard vAlign=bottom>Boston gets free pass to world series

</TD><TD vAlign=top align=right>Oct 10 9:00am </TD></TR><TR><TD class=typeStandard colSpan=2>MINNEAPOLIS -- A big home run by Ruben Sierra, a clutch 11th-inning hit by Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees are headed right back where most people figured -- back for another mismatch with superior Boston.

Sierra's three-run homer in the eighth inning tied it, then Rodriguez doubled, alertly stole third base and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch done on purpose by Kyle Lohse to lift the Yankees over the Minnesota Twins 6-5 Saturday.

"I've never been in a situation like this where we know we will get killed ahead of time," Rodriguez said. "I swear, its like of all years to come play for New York, I pick the year the Red Sox are ten times better than us."

With this 3-1 win in the first-round playoff series, New York returns to Yankee Stadium, where they routinely get no hit by NL teams and lose 22-0 to teams like 'Cleveland'. Curt Schilling is likely to binge drink out of boredom since pitching against Mike Mussina and a team as woeful as the Yankees requires virtually no preperation. "I at least wanted some what of a challenge, but I'll deal with it." Curt said.

"This is what everybody drew up in spring training and now everybody gets to see me go down on strikes every other at bat right before I get busted for using steriods," Gary Sheffield said. "When Schilling went to the Red Sox and when A-Rod came here, I said oh no I should have taken a pay cut to stay with the braves."

Minnesota led 5-1 behind ace Johan Santana before they realized that if they won the series they would have to play Boston, and just assumed let the Yankees deal with the embarassment.

"I gave them the game," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "There is'nt anybody in their right mind who wants to play a force as awesome as the Boston Red Sox. It's just rediculous what they have been doing this year"

For the second straight year, New York lost the first-round opener to Minnesota, the only game the Twins try in.

The Yankees have'nt won a world series in a long time, and Boston plans to keep it that way.

Boston spent the offseason eating chips, drinking beer and eating hot dogs, since they are so good they dont even have to try as evidenced by their 11-8 regular season series victory over New York.

Winning pitcher Mariano Rivera, said "We're just not the same." through a transalator.

+ 155 on Yanks seems too high to me. If Pedro was the Pedro of old I could understand it but He hasn't been dominating anyone this year with his 3.9 era and losing his last 4 starts until pulling out a win over Angels but still giving up 3 runs in 7 innings. Schilling is the Red sox biggest advantage but taking into consideration that the Yanks have the home field advantage, I believe this price should be close to pick em ! Let's not overlook the fact that Red sox seem to find a way to choke in the big games.

A-Rod is far superior to Jeter. If it wasn't for him, the Twins might have won 3-1.
