I'm just curious why Aug where the average Temp. for that day is 104 ! Why not choose this time of year when the high today is 85 and We have college football, NFL, and also World Series going on ? Also, We could have some outdoor activities like Golf, a hike up Red rock Canyon.... lots of fun things to do that are really not possible in early August.

Kermit- This time of the year is EXTREMELY busy for gamblers.

Personally, there is no way i could committ to Vegas in the middle of football season.

if we do that - you can forget the GN comping ANYONE! that first thur-sun weekend the place is PACKED from hours before opening tip to the end of the last game. the GN and most other hotels aren't giving away rooms unless you are a "Whale"

What about doing it early March, during all the conference playoff games? Still some exciting games to watch, and no problem getting the comp rooms.

If the GN loves our action, I think we should have bi-annual Bashes, one in early March (mid-year Bash) and another one in early August (annual Bash).

sorry RED its not going to be in march...it will be in aug again but this time it will be announced sometime in march so everyone can plan

ppeter, that would be great but I doubt alot can go 2 times a year plus it would be to hard to plan ...I could not make it 2 times a year thats for sure....

Red Rock Canyon and Mt. Charleston are the two things i miss most about Las Vegas...........more so even then the food, women, and gambling.

With all due respect, as resently as 3 years ago I took first place in a 5 k run for my age group and beat the winner of the 5 year younger winner by almost 4 minutes and I have a certificate for a hole in one so please don't bad mouth my athletic abilities when you know very little about me. If there is anyone at the Bash that's my age wants to challenge me in a 5 k run, let's give it a go ! LOL

I caught your jk in your post and realized that after my performance at the bash, I deserve all the jokes directed in my direction. However, that is clearly not the real me as I have almost never drank any hard booze in my life and I probably will avoid it forever in the future ! Did I hear a collective sigh of relief from all of you out there ? LOL
