Well, the Cards came through as I thought and I said the Braves would get to the late innings in a close game and had a chance for the win.

I hate when a pitcher pitches on 3 days rest and Owalt is doing just that. He only threw 88 pitches but it just doesn't work. These Braves are a smaller and I mean much, much smaller version of the Yanks in that they know how to win. Wright is a much better pitcher at night and will come through big for the Braves tonight.

4* Atlanta

Everyone else is picking the under but I think this game goes over but not enough for a play.

GL can't wait for the NYY/Bos series it should be a doosey!!!

MG,

I agree with you that going on three days rest can make a pitcher not be as effective as usual. However, I clearly remember Josh Beckett last year going on three days rest and pitching a shutout gem against the Yankees in the World Series. In that game, everyone was on the Yankees for the same reason that you are on Atlanta. I like Houston in this game because I think that they have the better pitcher on the mound and the better overall team. However, I am just playing the under on the game because everyone has scared me off Houston because of the "3 days rest" element. I think that both pitchers come out sharp and that it is a low scoring game and due to that opinion I have under 9 at -130. Since I do not have Houston tonight and only the under, I will be rooting for you to cash your ticket. You have been on one great run in the playoffs and I hope it continues for you tonight. Good luck tonight and for the rest of the playoffs.

MG - great minds must think alike, everyone keeps saying Houston is the better team, Atlanta won more games on the year. I kept thinking all day I wanted to play Atlanta and the home team as a dog,now I will.
I blew it yesterday, small loss on the day but if three things changed it would have been a huge day to the plus side. All were tough losers too. Seattle on the moneyline in pro football ouch. Houston in overtime +3.5 and +4. Ouch again!!! Moneyline winner would have been very sweet. Lastly Dodgers over 8.5. Tons of opportunities to score and not one run (bases loaded and no outs in the seventh was a good example)

Tonight in the foots I played under in first half so far and I am going to play gb. Green bay should run the ball against bad run defense keeping the score down.
I should be golfing!!

SB,

I remember Mr. Beckett oh so well. He was awsome. I am going to go with the odds, 11-29 on 3 days rest and the outstanding home team Braves.

Nstar,

I like GB as well, and will probably go with Kodiak's POW on the over. Good luck tonight.
