Prior to the playoffs starting I wagered $100 on Houston to win $850 and $50 on Boston to win $175 to win the world series. My question is do I put $155 to win $100 on Boston and $100 on Houston to win $170 on the Alcs and Nlcs respectively. The only way I lose if both Boston and Houston lose their series. Then obviously I lose $405. Am I just being greedy?

I think you are being greedy, but if you think both teams will win, then it's just a matter of wagerign more which is OK. IMO, Yanks win, AGAIN and the Stros definitely have a shot against St. louis although having Oswalt throw for them last night hurts them a bit as Backe and ???? (so much for my baseball knowledge) will have to step it up, again.
