+227 now. It's crazy, but that's playoff baseball with a media darling. I just want to know who in the world is going to bet -250. Hard to fathom.

blue, trend or no trend I would not want to bet unders with the teams involved here. Sure, if the number is right, I would. But to my eye, the numbers do not look high at all.

Trends are dangerous.

I don't know. It has moved higher so far from the open. Let's just say it wouldn;t shock me to see it go even higher. People want to bet the "obvious, easy winner".

St. Louis will win this series going away and the reason is quite simple. Houston starting pitching is in disseray. Game 1- Munro, Game 2- Backe, Game 3 Clemens, Game 4- Oswalt, enough said. Houston will be lucky to get 3 starts out of the horses. St. Louis is 6 games or less.

STL should win Game 1, though the line is still inflated. But regardless, I think Backe beats Marquis in Game 2. I've been watching film of Marquis in his last several games, he has a classic case of DEAD ARM. It's very obvious. That will be my biggest game wager of the series. Wonder if I'll get +200. Oh my, that would be sweet. I'll also hone in on Houston team total over.

Having a good eye for pitchers' dead arm is my favorite baseball capping method. And this is a real real good spot going against a potent lineup. Houston should smack him around like a pinata like they did to Wright, who also had a dead arm. They really should have scored more on Wright too.

d2,

How about Oswalt and Clemens? They are not pitching well and imo have dead arms like Wood and Prior had this year. We have seen enough of Clemens and Oswalt that our lineup will catch up to them. You can rationalize all you want but Cards march on to the series. Save your money and jump on the bandwagon and fatten your wallet by betting them for the series. Best of luck.:biglaugh:

agree completely D2 with your method of handicapping and also your assessment of Marquis having a pretty dead arm currently.
