Boston @ NY Yankees 8:05 PM EST
Play On: 1* Boston -145 (Schilling/Mussina) Listed

The Boston Red Sox come in Red Hot off a perfect 3-0 sweep of the Anaheim Angels. They are 6-1 in the month of October. Schilling has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year. He comes in with a 22-6 record and a 3.24 ERA in all games this year. He is 10-5 with a 2.98 ERA on the road this year and 2-0 with a 1.66 ERA his last 3 starts. He's averaging over 7 innings per start this year taking alot of pressure off the bullpen. Mussina has done well at home this year going 8-3 with a 3.83 ERA but overall he is only 12-10 with a 4.51 ERA in all starts. Schilling is 4-1 with a 3.34 ERA vs NY Yankees since 1997 while Mussina has a 11-11 Record vs Boston since 1997. We are going to recommend what we feel is the better pitcher in this matchup. Boston should win this game easily on their quest for the World Series!!!

Thanks and good luck,

Agree with the analysis minus the "easy win" part. This should be a dogfight throughout, but I am feeling that 420 ft bomb by Sheff!!

I don't see the Yankees exploding tonight off of Schilling. I have no idea how hard they are going to hit Mussina but I think the pitching will win this game tonight. I would say low scoring unless the Boston bats crank it up.

Good luck whatever you play!
