Just Curious,,, what are some characteristics of your Favorite clients,,,, and please dont just say,,"they Pay me",,

I am just curious,,, and for those of you that USE Locals,,, what are some of the Favorite things that your bookie does for you,,

**************
As for me,,,

when I lose,,, I call my bookie on Monday and offer to pay that day if hes around my side of town,,(were supposed to settle on Weds)

also when I win a few dimes from him, a few weeks in a row ,, I will throw him a few of my nice cigars,,, or give him a bottle of my favorite wine,,,
***************

Just curious what other peoples habits are,,,

all the best,,

U know if I wasn't in the red for the season, I may consider doing him some of those gestures like, sending him a few cigars or a nice bottle of whiskey.

As for now, all i can think of is how am i gonna break even. since ik know it isn't smart to try and hit a homerun with one game.

Oh well.

I enjoy that the fact that my guy seems to adjust the lines to his own handicapping and takes some decent limits.

If I were a good scalper, I could retire off this guy. I don't have the patience though.

I had NYY +160 tonight.

His current line for tomorrow is Boston -175 and STL -260. And don't even get me started on the NFL either. I think he takes the current line and adjust a point to a point and a half towards who he likes and where his action comes in. Occasionally he'll throw a line out there 3 points off the current line.

I sort of feel like stealing from my bookie when he doesn't move lines from Tuesday when he makes his sheet.

3peet: Maybe you should consider giving him the whiskey before he sets up his lines and make sure he has a few pulls on it first...

A long time ago I worked for an old bookmaker who would have me deliver a case of Chivas Regal every Christmas to the Chief of Police in the town he operated out of. I was only around for 2 Christmas deliveries but I know it was a long time tradition between the two. Not sure what else changed hands but have a good idea.

I use to hold a little from a buddy of mine that owns a liqour store. He was just about the most honest person I have ever dealt with. His store is in the middle of a rough neighborhood and his clients were all black. Well I dont want to stereo type all black guys, but the ones that bet with him were pretty much all favorite players. So I would always raise it up some. The nice thing is when someone did bet the dog, this guy would call in evrything. He would say 500 on the favorite and 300 on the dog. Instead of calling in 200 on the favorite. Our arrangment was that we would split whatever profit we had on the parlay cards only. The best thing is out of the 3k or so we would do on parlay cards about 1k would be his own. Plus whatever we would split he would give me almost that much in Booze. I no longer take any action, but he still owes me about 12k from last year and I just stop by once a week and grab some booze from him and we never adjust the number he owes, unless he gives me some cash as well. Right now in my house I have no less than 50 unopened top shelf alcohol. Just in Grey Goose I have 20+ magnum bottles not to mention the Cris and Dom.

I like when I win too much, to provide for him service.I give to him massage and how you say, had relief. Is it hand relief or hand release? It is not me who give this too him but one of my womans. I think it is good stress relief for those tough Monday mornings.
