YES...i know how well sox play at home and that they have a great home record...and if they lose this game they are done!!..A must win game for sox with a young pitcher vs brown...Your thoughts going into game 3 would be appreciated...Do sox come up big...or do they go down in flames??

Brownie, tho may be still recovering from hand injury, did pitch well in postseason pressure at Minnie, and this guy has come up huge during the postseason during his career. Arroyo has been getting better and better the past 6 weeks...
I figure Boston's most concerted effort in the way this series is shaping up will be in this game3 at home. Not necessarily mean that blosox will win. WSEX has nyyankees +1.5 at -160, i would think this is a more weighted play than yanks +140 (but that of course is definitely worth playing considering Brown's superiority over Arroyo's postseason inexperience), partly because I feel this COULD be lower scoring than the 10 total posted.
WSEX also has Yanks to go all the way to the world championship now at +140. Without checking other books, the greek is +110. If you are believing the Yanks can do it (given St. Louis's pitching questionmarks, and the fact Yanks do get the homefield advantage, thanks to Rocket's debacle in the AllStar game:think: ), may want to get some plus money on it now, as I myself now like the "Daddys" as the favs at this point in time.

yeah, this is one of the worst MLB lines in modern history. Arroyo throws half his pitches in the 60's, nuff said. K. Brown is an ace pitcher.

Its obvious the Yankees are sweeping this series and this particular line is a gift from above.

Arroyo is like 4-0 vs Yanks this year but with that said I really like Kevin Brown in this scenario. A lot of people may not know but Brown's last outing a few weeks ago in Fenway was his worst as a professional pitcher in his own words. Brown is the type of competitor who is itching to go back to Boston and pitch extremely well. I don't know if this series will be a sweep but this series never makes it back to NY. Not that the talent isn't there but the difference between these teams is Torre and the mental strength and character of the Yankees players vs Bosox. Yanks act like pros while Red Sox don't imo so when to get together Sox may play well for one series but as season goes on Yanks win out and that is what has happened here. Red Sox need more leaders and character and it starts with the manager. I respect Shilling as he has stepped up and said if they are Championship team they should win despite him being out rest of playoffs. Too bad they don't have more character people like Schilling or a take charge manager whose job it really is. GL
