Boring as usual, but as long as the refs do their job we will do fine. Who to bet? The team you think will cover the spread! :finger:

I just started a thread in the NBA forum about the futures wagers for season totals. There are 2 that I have alread played and that is the Miami heat over 50.5 wins and the Orlando magic over 35.5 wins. I think the Magic will be much better than last year, as will the Heat.

One big potential disaster on betting Miami Over 50½. If Shaq misses a few games, you lose.

I grabbed Orlando at 34 yesterday. This is the Rockets moved east with Cato, Mobley and Francis. The Rockets had 45 wins with these guys last year.

Wow, I am surpised that some books still have Magic at 34. They will easily pass 34 wins this season.

Toronto will win over 34.5 games. Sam Mitchell will lead this team back to a playoff birth. They have changed their philosophy with Mitchell and will try to run as much as possible, similar to Milwaukee last year, which suits their roster much better than the half court nonsense K.O.Neil implied last year. Toronto has also suffered significant injuries the past 2 seasons which have impacted on their record. Toronto has enough talent in the East to be a 500 club with the new coaching staff.

Hache Man,

I am a Miami Heat season ticket holder and think you are absolutely wrong with Wade being overrated. He deserves all of the praise he is getting now, as he proved in last year's playoff run. Dont let the Olympics fool you. He is a great player in this league and he will prove it this year. Also like the Heat over due to the conference and division they are in.

Pinnacle had the Magic at 34 around lunch time yesterday and its been creeping up since. Check out Phili... They should lose more games than last year. Iverson is likely to go down after playing in the Olympics.

BillDozer,

Played Orlando over 35.5 at Pinny earlier today. I will have a couple of writeups later in the NBA forum about my picks. Check out the thread there and please contribute your thoughts.
