The Washington Redskins
W2024.jpg

In the previous 15 elections, if the Washington Redskins have lost their last home game prior to the election, the incumbent party has lost the White House. When they have won, the incumbent has stayed in power.

In 2000 the Redskins lost that game to the Tennessee Titans, 27-21, and the Democrats lost power in the following election.

This Year the Skins final home game before the election is on Oct 31, when they host the Green Bay Packers.

Wonder if anyone will let me parlay the presidential moneylines with those from this game??

It may be the only time this Vikings fan cheers for the Cheeseheads!

In professional football’s early days, Washington was one of the game’s most powerful clubs, capturing two league crowns and posting ten consecutive winning records from 1936 to 1945. Leading the Redskins’ high-scoring offense were two-time rushing champion Cliff Battles and six-time passing champion Sammy Baugh—both eventual Hall of Fame members.
