Same here, the contest was fun last year and I will try and run it like last year with Race by Race standings and updates. Should be a blast again. I believe someone lost out on 3rd place by 40 cents last year.

Damn.. sorry to hear that man, sucks to be that close but good to hear you hit the free wager.

Early Tip: Light Jig -- FILLY & MARE TURF -- Next logical selection when tossing out the favored European Runner, IMO The Turf at Lone Star doesn't have the greatest of setups for what most Euro horses are used to, the turns are tighter and the stretch much shorter. This is one of the reasons the Turf fields are shorter this year.

Breeders Cup DISTAFF -- Society Selection - Should take to the LS track without problems and has had a successful 2004 campaign so far 8-3-3-1, with the defection of Azeri she won't be as good a price (probably around 3-1) but I still suspect Ashado and Island Fashion and Storm Flag Flying to take a good chunk of the public money.

Anyways, next up is the Juvenile Fillies

Balletto -- 3 wins and a second from 4 starts and her win in the Frizzette last out sets her up nicely, should be a decent price given that Sense of Style and Sweet Catomine should take a ton of money. If she can negotiate the trip from the one hole she'll have a great shot at the biggest piece of the pot here. Don't think she's run her best yet, hoping to see it Saturday

Breeders Cup Selection: GhostZapper - 2nd choice in the morning line but I think his price will be much better come race time, talk has been he might not get the distance but I believe he is simply the best horse in this race. The 128 figure he put up at Monmouth was huge, I figure he'll stalk the speed of Roses in May and Azeri and then make his move on the far turn to get a jump on the closers and most notably Pleasantly Perfect and Birdstone and hopefully keep them at bay down the stretch.
