Seahawks pose serious threat to Pats

<LI>In-depth game breakdowns, simulations, fantasy projections

Here's a word from the wise. Favorites laying 6 ½ points or more were 1-9 against the spread last week. Giving up more than a touchdown runs the risk of suffering while a coach with a big lead (Seattle's Mike Holmgren) shuts down his offense in the second half and allows the Rams to come back and beat him.

Speaking of Seattle, two colossal trends will clash when the Seahawks visit New England. <OFFER>Seattle is 9-2-1 against the line going back to last year. New England not only has the record for 19 straight wins, but has posted a 16-1-2 mark spread-wise in its last 19 regular-season games. If Seattle doesn't turn the ball over, the streak could end.

Another streak … Cincinnati is now zero for its last eight against the number. In the final game of last season, the Browns' Lee Suggs ran for 186 yards and two touchdowns against the Bengals, who now rank last in the NFL defending the run.

Detroit has won and covered seven straight at home versus Green Bay. This game opened with the Packers a slight favorite – now it's the Lions by 1½. Brett Favre has turned the ball over eight times this season. Detroit is plus-nine on the turnover chart.

Caution Flag: Atlanta is 0-3 giving three or more points.

In the last man standing competition, Jay Fiedler, bad ribs and all, will start for winless Miami at winless Buffalo. Last year the Dolphins held the Bills to 10 points in two games. Who will score higher on Sunday? These two teams, or Houston and St. Louis? Early Picks:
Miami +6 at Buffalo
Seattle +4 at New England
Kansas City -2 at Jacksonville

Have not seen his picks every week but he struggling this year. He's been great over the years exposing bad props for the Super Bowl, or gives great props to bet.

Seems is missed something on all his early picks...if this continues to be a trend over the next couple of weeks I'll stop posting his game notes.
