JJ youre being wierd for a reaction. the yankees would take ichiro in place of matsui in a heartbeat. ichiro crosses the plate more times than chop suey. he gets on first more times than chop suey. he bats close to 400, while chop suey has only had 1 good year.

if you had the package which if journey doesnt get for next season, i will pay someone to beat him senselessly you will easily come to the conclusion ichiro is the better player. he is a rock star in japan. ask your boy rail, even he says 'ichiro is the only player worth watching'

An EFFECTIVE clean-up hitter is worth 5X a good lead off guy. Matsui is a proven run generator. His numbers with men in scoring position are outstanding. No contest.

Ithink its a good debate...Matsui still coming on in the Majors...We have seen Ichiro's act, and its a great one too, but maybe Matsui is still growing into his shoes over here.
He has destroyed Boston...

One thing, Ichiro is twice as good a defensive player, that is for sure.

you guys are just making fun of singles players who have been on bad teams. there have been tons of guys who hit +.305 each season and avg. 20 hr's or so such as bernie that have been integral parts of championship teams. what about the big red machine?!

'bernie is much more than a singles hitter', well so is ichiro. .believe he played on the team that has the AL record for wins.
