. how can all fruit and veggie(organic) be bad for you?

I am doing it as a detox. to try and cleanse my system. i have been reading on a all raw food diet. i feel a lot of cancers, and other health problems come from all the pesticides and preseravatives in foods today. of course we all no that.

they say if you stay on it your body will detox all the presercatives, and you will go in to withdrawal. they say you should seek medical support if you decide to make the switch.

i am just going to try it for a few days and see how i feel.

i guess this is the wrong board to ask......bunch of beer and steak eating posters here, including myself, minus the steak

Don't listen to these amatuers. You're fine with fruits and vegetables for 5 days but you have to ease into it m8.

If you want to go on a real cleanse diet then drop all caffienes, processed food, and fake sugars (aspartame, etc) Do that for a few days

Then drop your flours and starches. Then drop the meats. You can live on a diet of 4-5 days eating nuts, some olive oil and veggies. You obviously want to put some fruit into it so that's fine too. Since you're juicing yourself you have 100% juice... nothing wrong with that.

Then start easing back into regular diet. The fruit juice and veggies give him all the fiber he needs to keep normal bowel movements.

I think its a good idea, I'm looking to modify my diet too...The past few months I have been eating like sh it ...All take out, good food , not fast food, but I am noticing my energy level is about 33% of normal...

We need to get a health forum here...I'm sure many could use some health tips on eating and such....

On another note, why do they not teach this in school? Is there anything more important than eating? It should be a mandatory subject.

I disagree. Myself and millions of others have learned ourselves without taking up the public school system's time and money. Although, I do believe that many high schools in america have at least an intro to foods class. If you want to learn nutrition I think it's best to take the responsibility of your own health.

On top of that nobody in high school is interested in know how to eat healthy any more than they are interested in learning about the damage that credit card debt can do.

People are often broke for the same reason they're obese. (not to offend anyone). Weight loss is easy... It's a matter of caring enough to do it. Like anything else if you work hard enough...results are nearly guaranteed.

... Then drop the meats...
Amateurs and then you say drop the meat? Meat has NOTHING to do with getting fatter. Meat has a lot of protein and protein is most important stuff for people who are trying to drop their weight.

Usually a diet fails, because people beleives that eating less is the way to drop weight. Well, that's one thing, but someday they feel so hungry that they will find their way to McDonalds. And that's the end of their diet.

Eating food with a lot of protein, people feels that they are more fulled
than they are and thats why proteing "eaters" will eat less.

Wow ...you managed to miss the entire point of the thread. He asked about a 3-5 day CLEANSING diet. I never suggested he drop meats completely... only for a 3 day period while he is "cleansing"

This is common practice which you have obviously never heard about. He can manage to consume protein with nuts and other non-meat sources.

So like I said before... The point of a cleansing diet has NOTHING to do with losing weight. It has to do with finding trigger foods and cleansing your system. You can't know much if you've never heard of a cleaning or cleansing diet.

I don't normally get this upset and no offense is intended...but you managed to completely miss the point of the thread and attack my credibility in your response. I guess that just pushes my buttons.

piece of bread for breakfast
piece of bologna for lunch
piece of cheese for dinner
rotate as needed by the day
Alot of Busch beer all day

That should do it. Good luck. The beer is just to keep the blood nice and thin.:drink:

Well, I usually miss point or two when I'm betting so it's quite normal that I miss the point of the threads too.

I do juice fasting when I get sick.

It is the best way to get well.

No food, all fresh organic juices and lots of water and I get well very very quickly.

It's just that I would never tell anyone to drop meat from their diet entirely. I have a vested interest in how much meat people eat. The more the better :) For purposes of a cleansing diet...it's good to drop that last.... for 2-3 days. Many people find that certain foods give them stomach aches, headaches, make them less effective at work, etc. It's a good idea to know what those trigger foods are. :drink:
