Wall St. Journal today had a whole section on baseball. talked about parity steinbrener writing checks etc. They also had an article on gambling and said that most do not bet baseball except the pros. thus the hold for baseball is only 2% where as in football it is 6% for the books. By the way does the 2% equate to gross profit before exspenses? and the same question for the 6%. So if thats there profit margin how can they afford to offer 20% sign up bonus and make any money on the new money that comes in. I realize you have to turn it over but still must take a long time to make that porrtion profitable. any offshore guys here can respond? It is an article worth reading. regards bobk
