I thought they should have brought in Mirabelli when Varitek was struggling so bad. Mirabelli hits well anyway.

Dumb move not to, but Francona escapes

now the million dollar question, Whats the deal with Schilling's ankle? Is he going out there on guts alone or can he really pitch in game 6? The world wonders.....

suposedly reebok made some special brace for schill in the last few days, that will allow him to push off the way he is used to. that was the whole problem in gm1, he really couldnt push off on that foot as hard as he normally does so it hurt his velocity and he got lit up. thank goodness for reebok and technology.

Wakefield is definitely underrated as far as his value to a team....He can start, relieve, and i even remmeber when the Sox used him as a close a couple years back, and he was effective there....

He's always there to take the ball, and can throw tons of innings because of the ease of his motion.....

Valuable to any team...

Precisely why if he plays till he is 55, which is quite possible, he could be a Hall of Famer.

All I know is I am the furthest thing from a Red Sox fan but I had him at +182.

Thanks Tim.

this Mr. Smith guy makes a lot of sense. I'm going to keep an eye on him.

Also, I expect tonight, much like the 2004 playoffs the yankees will make complete embarrasing failures of themselves on national TV. I'm taking the Mets.
