Looks like Houston will take their chances with the Rocket on less rest again.

Leaving Roy Oswalt for game 7 .

I don't like this decision. I would rather have Rocket on full rest and Oswalt ready in the penn if Rocket doesn't have it for game 7. Munro is a major league pitcher and is capable of winning game 6. It doesn't matter what Garner does because if the Astros lose it will be all of his fault.

I think the decision is definitely the right one. Give yourself two chances to win it with your best two starters....albeit on one less day of rest.

I agree with Steezer: Munro can be ready in the pen behind the Rocket, just in case---

That's gonna be some series vs the Yankees-- i favor Houston to take it all.

Same problem i have said all along for the Cards.....they have the bats, but when push comes to shove, they have NO ACE to put on the mound....

Thats why i believed the Cubs could take them in a series, of course the Cubs couldn't get there.....but they had the pitchers to put out there for a short series....

Now the Astros have 2 shots with 2 aces, that are better than any of the Cards ptichers....so even if the Cards' bats can get them through one of the games, doubt they can do it with both.....

It is similar to what McKeon did last year against the Yankees with Beckett. He pitched him on 3 days rest instead of saving him for game 7. It is the right decision.

Don't like it. I thought Clemens has a bad history on 3 days rest. As for Beckett and Clemens, age is a big difference. Olympic has Morris -140, seems high to me, Morris is a very vulnerable pitcher. Still would take Clemens at +130. Two big IFS on Game 6 in both leagues.

Munro was roughly +220 vs. Morris in Game 2, if I recall. Can't be that high again, can it?

And if it goes to Game 7, who starts for St. Louis -- Suppan?

ESPN Headline News had Clemens /Morris at the time of this thread...WTF is going on?

Now its back to Munro..

And how about Clemens for 4-5 inning followed by OSWALT

Munro is the best decision here.

You're up 3-2 and will have your ace on full rest for a potential game 7...you roll the dice here in game 6.

I love the idea of having Clemens and oswalt locked and loaded for game 7.

I was shocked when I saw they had moved him up.

It will probably go 7, but if they escape game 6 somehow they will be back on track come saturday...

Alot of scenarios for a game 7 ... Clemens and Oswalt , ya gotta like that!
