I got a friend that went to confession the other day because he was losing a lot and he did some things that were flat out wrong to pay bookmakers.

Can a Priest use this info against him or is it confedential??

I told the clown not to do this but he said he felt better after doing it

if priests told the cops what was said in confession, the whole penal system would have to be re-vamped.

He cashed out a trust fund that he could not touch until 60 and took the 20 dime penalty plus forged **** to get trust

clergy can use the info if someone is in iminent danger...

ie if someone confesses they are about to kill my wife you are damn right he can tell the cops, but not for using a trust front...

Blue - how r you? In this case I actually had some personal experience. I was brought up Catholic and was an alter boy for several years (never once bothered by anyone btw.) and also went to parochial school for 12 years. Other stories I just do searches for info.

doing good...how about you? based on your experience, do you think the years of catholic school makes one more or less likely to remain a catholic after becoming an adult? just curious...

Ok here also. The good thing about 12 years of Catholic school was the education. Where I grew up we were way ahead of the local public schools and just passing was never automatic. One actually had to work to graduate. As far as staying a Catholic goes I have heard many use the expression "I'm a recovering Catholic" and do understand what that means. To answer your question I have to believe one would be more apt to stay catholic after attending 12 years of catholic schooling.
