Boston is the play again tonight. I had a very good series to with these 2 teams losing only one game. Before last nights game, the Yankees should have been up 5 - 0 in the series. Boston stole 2 wins and it was only a matter of time until they win one on their own, ie last night. Tonight should be more of the same. Will post my play later.
I have been playing the over in the games and have not done very good. Offset it some with money on Boston and Boston on the runline last night. I could never bet on the evil empire, like I said in MG Man's thread earlier in the series, betting on the Yanks is like making a pack with the devil, you might win the game and the money but eventually the devil gets your soul.
I don't mind the yankee players, they are actually a very boring team without much of a personality. A-Rod for example, appears to be a great player, very non-emotional and goes out and does his job. Typical boring great player in pinstripes.
Yankee fans are simply pathetic and no class. They want to belittle the opponent more than cheer for their team. I will say this again to all the yankee fans, no matter what happens tonight, you can start bragging when you win the world series with a $50 million payroll ( and I am not talking about your 2, 3, and 4 hitters in the lineup). I don't ever recall having to have police with riot gear on the feild for a Twins game! A friend of mine tried to argue the fact of why don't I dislike Boston since they have the second highest payroll in baseball. That is true but the Yankees payroll is still 50% higher than the Boston's. Nice try yankee fans. There was a picture in the Star Tribune when the Twins lost to NY out in NY, Yankee fans weren't cheering their team they were screaming and pointing fingers at the Twins pitcher who was leaving the game. A perfect example of a Yankees fans. I showed that too my Yankee fan friend and it didn't go over well.
This was a great quote in the newspaper today, as the yankee fans were throwing bottles and balls onto the field, the yankee PA Bob Sheppard intoned, "Yankee sportsmanship is still the best." What color is the sky in your world Bob?
