The first time I sent money down to BetOnSports, back in '01 or '02, I made the check payable to Finir Finance LTD. I called them this year to inquire about a new account. They told me the check should be made payable to BOS (Antigua) LTD. When I ask them why the change, they won't give me an answer that I can understand.
This summer, when I sent a check to BoDog, I made the check payable to Lancashire Finance LTD. I just got my payout checks today, and the payor is Gregor Finance LTD.
Anybody able to shed any light on this? Before I decide to send anymore cash to offshore books, I'd like to understand what they're up to with all this stuff. I mean, when I send cash to AMeritrade, I make the check payable to Ameritrade Clearing INC. When they sent me cash, the check is from Ameritrade Clearing INC.
Another thing...the Mall San Pedro in Coast Rica. I know Wagermall and BetOnSports both operate out of that building, as well as Millennium. When I sent my check to Wagermall, they had me make the check out to Mill (Antigua) LTD. But when I called Millennium about sending a check, they said I would make the check payable to the exact same payee...Mill (Antigua) LTD.
Lastly, BetOnSports just went public this summer. They are traded on the London Stock Exchange, I think. The ticker symbol is BSS.L. I've scoured the internet trying to get a copy of their financial statements. Can't find anything. Not even a corporate home page.
Guardian Guaranty had me make the check payable to Guardian Guaranty Corp. That's the only one that makes sense to me, really. I understand the same guys own Tradewinds and Badlands.
This is the stuff that's making me nervous. Why do these companies do business under so many different names? What's really going on with these sportsbooks and all the different Finance LTD stuff?
