A great book that pays but steadily declining as far as betting volume. Pinnacle has put a huge dent into Spiro's biz

Where are you going to bet NFL??

A place that gives reduced juice or -110?? Same Line too!!

The only reason why Greek went to reduced juice in bases (10 cent lines was because of Pinny) They would of had very little biz if they did not reduce it

I would say they also are going to be forced to offer foots and baskets at -107 or -108 or be a ghost town someday

The saturation of offshore books has and will continue to disease the industry.

Not naming names.... Those books who slow pay their customers, treat their customers poorly, etc continue to get business that books like Oly should be getting.

Did they finally put up legit baseball lines or were they still robbing everyone with 20 cent lines?

jjgold- I think you hit it right on the head with Olympic. They're still a solid book but they could do a few things differently. A perfect example of this is for today's props on the Red Sox- Yankees. That's just about the sorriest bunch of props I've ever seen. They're going to get little, if any, action when they put up garbage like that.

Their vig on some sports is a bit steep and their teaser prices are larcenous. Still a good place to have an account but a shop that probably would do well to take a close look at their overall operation.

Although I have been very hard on both THE GREEK and CRIS lately, I do believe that these two sports books are as HONORABLE & TRUSTWORTHY as they come...

I can't say that about the majority of sports books out there...

Being a sportsbook is a long term thing - the -105 & -107 won't be there for long and they'll go along with the sportsbooks offering them - maybe not Pinny but many of the others offering reduced juice and the likes of Olympic will still be there.

they'd be foolish to get involved with this dogfight!

When he was bashing them for conspiring to stop transfers with Pinnacle because to many players were moving their money to Pinnacle.

BINGO...

If each book had decided on its own to stop doing transfers with Pinnacle, I'd have much less of a problem understanding their side to the story...

And while I respect both of the bookmakers a lot, I don't agree with their actions involving Pinnacle...

It was childish, foollhardy, and in my opinion, a financial mistake that will backfire on them....

Gamblers love convenience and now I know of some who won't play at either of these shops since it is INCONVENIENT for them to settle differently than they had been accustomed to...

Whatever happened to "The Customer Comes First???!!!" :messed:

I have told CRIS exactly this when I first found out...

And no matter how you spin it, it still is COLLUSION...

The Greek is still number 1,:aktion033 even though Pinny has lower vig, they don't put up half the stuff Spiro does.:)

Historical precedence here. Right where most of these books are geographically located there were the Mayans. One of the most vicious and hated civilizations of the region. The Aztecs and Incas were destroyed by foreign, Spanish invasion. But the Mayans, the biggest and baddest on the block for centuries, were not taken down by any outsider. All of the neighborhood tribes banded together, and slowly strangled the Mayans. Relentlessly they attacked , from all directions and areas. Food supplies, trade routes, all slowly taken out. Was there collusion? Of course. But when people start being tired of being overrun, they begin to counter. The former enemy becomes an ally. Alliances are human nature. For them, Pinnacle is the Mayan empire. It is hard to say these actions are childlike. :discuss: I would probably venture to say this is just a small battle in the war. But with reputable, and this is beyond question, shops begin to team up against Pinnacle, it does appear this may catch on.

The people most caught up in this are the bigger movers. If you have an adequate balance maintained in all three, transfers should be at a minimum. And you can always Neteller. I find ways to work around it, as I am sure anybody in the business does. :heh:

Next time you are looking at Don Best Premium, watch who puts out the football first, the big risk takers. Olympic and CRIS. Pinnacle stays on the sidelines, and lets these stores take the early abuse. Try balancing those weak numbers. :neenee: If I had three books only to be in. Those three are it. :aktion033
Will be interesting to see what transpires over the football season. I am more afraid of the Patriot Act than any collusion by two of my favorite books. You want to see someone pull the rug out from all of them at once? There is the vehicle.:scared:

Everytime I place a wager at betjamaica, Olys sister book, I get a message that the lines have changed, if the line was +12 its now +11.5 and so on. I guess a wager for a nickel is too much for these guys to handle these days.
