I believe a good indicator of who is going to win is that the books still have Bush favored. They want to collect the vig when Kerry wins. Books are sharper than the public.

They are also getting more action on Bush than Kerry.

One thing I do know is that sadly enough, VOTERS are FICKLE...

I believe it is a toss up, and the fact that no polls have called people with cell phones makes it hard for me to put that much stock in accuracy...

Therefore, taking the DOG makes perfect sense, imho...

A late news. Can this REALLY help? ( Arkansas too ).

Bill Clinton to Join Kerry at Pa. Rally

WATERLOO, Iowa - Former President Clinton (news - web sites) will appear with Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) at a lunchtime rally in Philadelphia Monday in what Democrats hope will be a boost to the presidential ticket in a crucial battleground state. The two-term former president also will campaign separately for the Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Lockhart, an adviser to Kerry and former Clinton press secretary, said Wednesday.

Clinton, who is recovering from heart surgery, has agreed to the appearance for his fellow Democrat, who is locked in a tight race against President Bush (news - web sites). Jim Kennedy, a spokesman for Clinton, said the former president "is pleased to be able to help John Kerry in this very important campaign for the future of our country." In an e-mail appeal from the Kerry campaign to Democrats, Clinton asks for contributions and writes, "this is the moment for every Democrat to look in the mirror and ask: 'What more can I do to help?'"

At a campaign rally Tuesday night, Kerry said he spoke to Clinton briefly by telephone before the event in Ohio and that Clinton encouraged him as the contest for the White House grows increasingly personal in its final days."We were talking about how when the other guys are trying to label you and make you into something you're not," Kerry told several thousand supporters at the home field of the Dayton Dragons minor league baseball team."And Bill Clinton (news - web sites) and I were talking, and he said, `You know, when the other guy wants you to stop thinking and he's trying to scare you into not thinking, and you want Americans to think about their future, it's pretty clear who you ought to be voting for,'" Kerry said.

Clinton has spent the last six weeks recovering from quadruple bypass surgery, with doctors instructing him to get plenty of rest. Kerry campaign officials have eagerly awaited word of whether Clinton could get out to personally encourage voters to support the Democratic presidential nominee. Earlier Tuesday, during a stop in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Kerry told a local TV station that Clinton may come help him in that state, where polls showed the Democrat tied with Bush. McCurry said the campaign hopes the former president will be strong enough to visit other battlegrounds, as well.

"I think it's possible in the next days former President Clinton may be here, working," Kerry told NBC affiliate WGAL. Even though he has not been traveling, Clinton regularly phones Kerry and his aides to offer advice. He also has agreed to tape a phone message that will be delivered to voters' homes, and he may record radio advertisements. Clinton, 58, underwent surgery in New York City on Sept. 6 after complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath. He has been recovering at home in Chappaqua just north of New York City and has recently been going on walks and chatting with other residents.

Clinton was the best president the U.S. has had in some time.

Mullins, I would suggest laying off the political threads - you get so wrapped up in them, that you forget to add your usual shameless pump for BetPCI.

Just get Clinton to go and speak in Ohio, in one of the struggling cities and tell people how important it is to go out and vote. That would be the best use of him for the Dems.

Anyone that says Clinton will hurt Kerry is kidding themselves. People that hated Clinton are solidly in the Bush camp already. The key to the election is energizing the base and making sure people get out to vote. Clinton can do that like no one else in the party. If he makes it just to Ohio and Florida for short speeches after this speech in Philly that would be all Kerry needs to help out.

Mullins must be a Muslim the way he downgrades our past President. How unpatriotic. You're either with us or against us, and he's obviously against us.

I think Kerry will most likely win.

There has been an unprecedented surge in voter registrations. Even if the new registrants are just 60-40 Dem, and the balance will actually end up being heavier on the Dem side, it will be enough to be decisive. The new registrants tend to be younger and less well educated. They will believe the propoganda fed to them by Michael Moore and other celebrity "advocates" and will vote for Kerry in droves.

All bets are off (no pun intended) however if Bin Laden is captured or killed pre election. Bush will win in that event.

Also, another significant terrorist attack on US soil, while calculated by the terrorists to elect Kerry, would probably backfire in my opinion and cause people to rally around Bush.

Bottom line, however, is Congress will still be fairly evenly divided and bitterly partisan, so anything that either party desperately wants will be shot down, which, in my opinion is good news.

Politics makes for interesting sport, but I think people are taking it way too personally. Frankly, neither Kerry or Bush are anything special in my opinion and b/c of the bitterly divided Congress, neither will accomplish more than a fraction of their agenda/election year promises.

The fact that they are using Clinton in a state where Kerry is already winning speaks volumes...

If they felt he could help that much, they would be using him in Ohio, Iowa or Wisconsin, or Florida.....

Sending him to PA seems to just be window dressing....

You're a retard. I would explain Clinton's accomplishments to you but, I know you're incapable of simple comprehension.

Tell me something though.

What has Bush done to Benefit this country?
